Professional Artisan Certificates and Program Opportunities Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) currently is pursuing the development of a Professional Artisans AAS degree. In addition, the college will be developing certificates concentrating and expanding upon its existing technical education learning opportunities in the areas of jewelry, woodworking, and welding. This new degree and the related certificates will utilize technical skill training, artistic components, and entrepreneurial training to support existing and new artisans in Northeast Wisconsin. Students will learn the basics of their areas of interest, preparing them to design their own unique creations. Investigation into the area of clays is currently under development to further expand the variety of opportunity for those interested in professional training or personal enrichment. NWTC is a two-year technical college located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Hundreds of unique galleries and a healthy tourism-based economy allow local artisans to display and market their work to the Door County Peninsula, downtown Green Bay, and scenic Northern Wisconsin. For additional information, please visit the college’s website. |
